She has been involved with many music groups, singing with Cantabile Chorale of York Region, singing with and accompanying the York Troubadours, and playing with many musical theatre productions over the years. Lynda is a member of West Highland Baptist Church. |

Phill Attwell
(Woodwinds and Percussion) |
Philip has a Bachelor of Music degree from McMaster University on Saxophone with emphasis on Elementary Music Education. He also has been playing drums for about 10 years and regularly plays with a worship team at Calvary Baptist Church in Burlington, where he attends. Philip is also a musician with the Naval Reserves as a Saxophonist and Percussionist and has twice toured Canada with the National Band of the Naval Reserve, performing in a wide variety of shows, ceremonies, concerts and parades. He is excited to share his passion for music with others and help them to discover and develop their own musical abilities. |

Cheryl Brubacher

Cheryl started studying piano in London, Ontario at the young age of 4. She continued her studies through the Royal Conservatory until she completed Grade 9 piano. Cheryl also studied music at Heritage College in Cambridge, Ontario. She has been teaching private lessons in piano for 12 years. Cheryl is often seen singing, playing violin, or playing piano on the West Highland platform. She, and her husband Lee have been members of West Highland since 2001. |

Jacob
Haramule
(Tuba, Low brass) |
Dr. Jacob Haramule has a BA Mus., MM and PHd in Instumental Performance (West Virginia and Miami). He has been the recipient of many scholarships, and has played tuba with school and church ensembles and symphony orchestras, touring throughout the U.S., Austria, Czech Republic, and Hungary. In Miami, Dr. Haramule worked as a Musicology Teaching Assistant at the U of M, and also was a member of the "Brass on Occasion” ensemble, giving fund-raising performances for the Miami Rescue Mission. He is committed to continuing this connecting of performing arts with practical community outreach. He lives with his wife and daughter in Burlington and attends Calvary Baptist Church. |

Harris

John first began playing the guitar at age 11, and immediately steeped himself in the rich variety of guitar styles that were part of the music boom of the 1960s. After completing formal classical studies and graduating with a B.Mus from Carleton University, John spent three years in Tokyo, performing and studying Japanese Koto music. He has written and performed music for television documentaries, animated cartoons, and stage productions, as well as contributing to books from OFC publications. John has taught both music and recording production in Ottawa, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Toronto, and Hamilton. He currently teaches Audio Production at Mohawk College, is a member of the Hamilton Guitar Association, and is on the worship team of Buchanan Park Free Methodist Church, in Hamilton. |

Anita Hiripi
(Piano, Voice, Violin & Viola) |
Anita Hiripi, Bachelor of Music, Bela Bartok University.
Hungarian violinist Anita Hiripi has been involved with music and dance from childhood. She has played and toured Europe with the Debrecen Symphony, was a member of the Lebanese National Symphony Orchestra, and was on the faculty of the Lebanese national Higher Conservatory. She has shared the stage with many well-known musicians such as Placido Domingo. She is currently a member of Symphony Hamilton, Dundas Valley Orchestra, and various chamber ensembles from Niagara-on-the-Lake to Toronto. Anita and her husband, Máté Szigeti attend the Hungarian Presbyterian Church. |

Leslie Kent, Bachelor of Music, Moody Bible Institute of Chicago (and studies in piano, voice and brass).
Accomplished conductor and co-founder of Moody Memorial Children's chorus, founding conductor of Prelude Chorus of Hamilton Children's Choir, conductor of Hosanna at Ancaster based String, Etc., Founder and director of Mountain Musikgarten (music and movement for young children). Leslie attends Mountain Citadel Salvation Army Church. |

Moriah Magcalas

Moriah has been studying music ever since she was 5 years old. She has completed Grade 9 Piano and Grade 3 Theory. She is a first-year student at Redeemer University College and is aiming to become an elementary school teacher. She attends Living Word Ministries and plays various instruments in the church music ministry. She has been teaching piano and guitar for over 3 years. |

Jani began piano lessons at an early age studying the Royal Conservatory music. She completed Grade IX piano and later Grade IX voice. She has been teaching private piano lessons to children and adults for many years and enjoys encouraging students to develop musical ability and excellence in a joyful, fun environment. Over the years, Jani has been involved in many musical groups, singing and playing in churches all around Ontario. Currently, her family attends Flamborough Baptist Church in Waterdown. |

Máté Szigeti
(Flute) |
Máté Szigeti, Bachelor of Music, Master of Music, Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Debrecen
A Hungarian-born flautist, Máté played operatic and orchestral repertoire with the Debrecen Symphony, was later affiliated with the Lebanese National Symphony Orchestra as both principal flautist and soloist, and was on the faculty of the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory. Students from his studio were selected three times to join the West-Eastern Devine Orchestra under Daniel Barenboin, while others were accepted to Damascus, Swiss, and Canadian Universities. "Throughout my career, I have focused on empowering my students to succeed by encouraging them to develop their strengths and to grow both academically and personally".

Joel Wiersma
(Acoustic Guitar)

Joel has been playing guitar, and leading worship for many years, including involvement at Bethel Gospel Tabernacle, Binbrook Baptist Church, and West Highland. He has been the main acoustic guitar player for most dramatic musical productions. He, and his wife Alice have been members at West Highland for 7 years.
