INVESTING IN THE FUTURE
Renovation of an additional 1,150 sq. ft. of office space to meet the needs of our growing staff.
For the last eight years the average Sunday morning worship attendance at West Highland has hovered between 800 to 850 people. A crowded foyer and hallways, and a filled-up auditorium are now the norm not the exception.
To address our space challenges and limitations the West Highland leadership facilitated significant initiatives over the past six years. The first was the purchase of an additional 3.7 acres of land adjacent to the east and south of our Worship and Ministry Centre. In March, 2010 the remaining debt on the land was paid down. While the purchase of the land does not address our present space challenges, it does provide room for future expansion of our facilities.
Secondly, in 2008 we launched "Operation Rehoboth," a project that involved the renovating of our old office space to provide additional room for our Children's Ministries and the moving of our offices temporarily to St Elizabeth Village.

"Now the Lord has given us room and we will flourish in the land." (Genesis 26:22)
DUAL SERVICES (2010)
Thirdly, since 2008 our Board of Elders and Ministry Team have been prayerfully considering the implementation of dual Sunday morning services as the next step in providing space, expanding our ministry and reaching more people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Just prior to his "retirement", our former Board Chair and acting Administrator, Burt Hamilton sat down with John Mahaffey, our Lead Pastor, and Paul Gerics our present Board Chair to discuss the "whys, hows, ifs, and buts" of implementing two morning services at West Highland (see the Dual Services Newsletters below).
