Pastoral Care
WHEN YOU NEED SUPPORT

Care Ministry
West Highland is a warm, loving, nurturing community. People are cherished and experience care through the love of Christ. We recognize that life has challenges and people experience times when extra support and encouragement is needed. Our Care Ministry takes peoples’ needs seriously in expressing compassion and offering help. By seeking to bear the burdens of others, we desire to see healing and hope which we know that Christ can provide.

Stephen Ministry
Facing the challenge of pain, confusion and discouragement? Need someone alongside you in the journey to listen, help you to understand and be your friend? Stephen Ministers are trained and trustworthy individuals who care by listening, supporting, and praying for you in the tough seasons of life. West Highland will have a fully trained lay team in place by January, 2009.

Visitation
Our purpose is to reach out and to minister through the encouragement of care for people of all ages in hospitals, homes, and care facilities. If you or someone you love is in need of a visit, please use the contact forms below:

Prayer Care
We recognize the importance of prayer through the publishing of a weekly prayer list to make our congregation aware of prayer needs. A daily e-mail publication of prayer requests is maintained as well as a phone prayer chain for emergencies. Regularly, our phone connections team inquires about specific personal prayer needs of the congregation.

Meals Ministry
We provide care as needed for our members and regular attendees by arranging and delivering a meal on a short term basis, who have had a baby, illness, surgery or family crisis. If you know someone in our church who could benefit from this ministry, please contact us at 905-387-5385.

Grief Share
Periodically a ten week course is offered to assist those who have experienced grief and losses.
